The River Project brings together artists, conservationists and environmentalists in a shared project that takes the River Holme as its inspiration.
The Museum of Contemporary Rubbish was founded by artist Alice Bradshaw in 2010 and is dedicated to collecting, documenting and exhibiting contemporary rubbish from across the world. For Holmfirth Arts Festival 2011 the museum has received a generous new collection from the River Holme which features on specially made gift items available for sale at the Museum of Contemporary Rubbish Gift Shop located in Holmfirth Tourist Information Centre throughout the festival.
